I feel like you wrote this post just for me! Eliza and I hit a bump in our relationship last week and I kind of just wanted to say “forget it!” But my semi-practical side kicked in and reminded me that the road is not always smooth in any relationship. If you get a chance, stop by our site and check out the posts, “The Message” and the second part “Real Talk.” I’d be interested in your thoughts. Thanks for the encouragement–I needed it.

I’m glad this helped, Morocco. I did go to your site and read the two posts you referenced (plus, left a comment). I just think what you’re doing is so admirable and yes, I can totally understand wanting to give up. That’s perfectly normal (but doesn’t make the feeling any better, unfortunately).
Just keep plugging away and remember to get away from it all every once and a while. Thanks for reading and I like the new design on your blog!

    Jennifer~
Thanks, I read your comment and I agree that doing nothing=nothing. I am determined to do everything possible to keep things cordial and the line of communication open. Not only do I think it is direly important for the kids, but I think it is equally important for the sanity and character of the adults as well.
I use our blog and the reading of other blogs such as yours as an outlet. With summer approaching I plan to take some time for myself, sans Eliza, my husband, or the kids!
Thanks, I thought the new deisgn was fitting for the title of our blog. I’ll “read” you later!

Ha! I like that, read you later…!
Sane adults? What planet do you live on? : P Always a goal to shoot for, huh?
Good for you, carving out some time alone. Sounds like just the ticket!
